The Nike Air Presto Icons Celebrates The Air Max Plus “Hyper Blue”

The Nike Air Presto Icons Celebrates The Air Max Plus “Hyper Blue”

Nike’s newly-introduced “Icons Collection,” which is comprised of the brand’s most prolific offerings, further marries silhouette and colorway. The Air Huarache revealed just yesterday, for example, celebrated a release beyond its own catalog, borrowing the look of the much-beloved Air Max 90 “Infrared.” The Air Presto‘s contribution is very much the same in execution, albeit inspired by a different icon: the Air Max Plus “Hyper Blue.”

Drawing clear design cues from the above-mentioned pair of TNs, the Nike Air Presto Icons “Hyper Blue” is as faithful to its source material as possible. The titular cool tone is used in much the same way, sitting just underneath a blacked out cage and matching laces. Branding — both the Swoosh across the side as well as the emblem atop the tongue — resemble the Air Max Plus as well, proffering a similar, though somewhat paler shade of yellow. The biggest distinction would be the rubber toe cap, which is made blue here instead of clear.

Enjoy an official look at this Air Presto-shaped homage to the Air Max Plus “Hyper Blue” ahead. A release date has not yet surfaced, but more details should surface relatively soon.

In the meantime, enjoy an official, retailer look at the upcoming 2023 Air Jordan 4 Thunder.
