The Air Jordan 1 Mid “University Blue” Sees A Heritage-Style Color-Blocking

The Air Jordan 1 Mid “University Blue” Sees A Heritage-Style Color-Blocking

It’s no mystery the color team at Jordan Brand is aiming to release the Air Jordan 1 Mid in every colorway imaginable, and they’re looking to the Retro High OG tier once again for some inspiration.

This upcoming men’s release presents a mix of white, black, and university blue, hardly an uncommon assortment on the AJ1; the color-blocking opts for a primary white overlay at the toe, quarter, lace collar, and mid-panel, while the familiar blue shade appears at the toe-box, heel and ankle. This is very much a “Heritage” style arrangement, which first debuted on the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG roughly a year ago. It’s a bit of a shock that a red, white, and black AJ1 sat on shelves for a bit; could it be that the Heritage look didn’t quite hit, or is the Air Jordan 1 exhaustion settling in deeper?

Regardless of how you feel about the AJ1, the Mid seems to sell out without fail. With University Blue in the mix, we imagine these to go fast once it becomes available on Nike.com for $135.

In other news, the Air Jordan 1 Royal Reimagined is dropping earlier than anticipated.
