While Jordan Brand has explored the Lunar New Year by marking the near entirety of its extensive catalog with “Year of the Rabbit” motifs, Nike Inc. has opted for a similar homage to the springy mammal through its’ “Leap High” collection. Having touched down across an equal number of disparate propositions, the Nike Air Max Scorpion is undergoing a second treatment of the festivities for a women’s-exclusive effort.

Previously extending a bright white aesthetic, a seldom wave of darkened tonal accents proffer across the second iteration’s polarizing composition. Coating its plush chenille upper trim and tongue construction in a blank crisp white shade, the latter’s remaining Flyknit tooling indulges in a softened brown stone hue whereas its midfoot Swooshes and peaks of Flywire express a premium rose pink finish. Furthering the luxurious ensemble through grey wax laces, vibrant red pull tabs and insoles pair with miniaturized teal green Checks for a concerted splash of color. Underfoot, a darkened brush of marble outfits the midsole in tandem with its pillowed semi-translucent cushioning system and brown tread pucks below.
