Michael Le The New Balance 1906R is, in effect, a successor to the 2002R. And in an effort to popularize the newly-renovated silhouette, the footwear brand is recreating much of said predecessor’s best, from the “Protection Pack” to the “Suede Pack.”
Likely joined by several additional colorways, the recently-revealed New Balance 1906R “Green Suede” is heavily reminiscent of its 2002R-shaped counterpart, the latter of which first made its debut at the beginning of 2022. Much like said release, this pair replaces its usual overlays for ones constructed of suede; the TPU heel piece and the mesh underneath, though complementary in their green color, are left untouched. Whites and greys, then, complete the palette by way of the midsole and lace unit, respectively.
For a closer look at this 1906R, see below. A release date has not yet been revealed, but it’s highly likely that we’ll be seeing these early 2023.
