While Jordan’s second signature silhouette is set to continue its increased slate of releases throughout the new year, the Bruce Kilgore design is returning to its “Chicago” roots for the first time since 2004.
Producing a much more accurate composition compared to mid 2000’s counterpart, the faux lizard skin side panel, OG Nike Air logo and winged insignias immediately harken to Jordan’s career-high year of averaging 37.1 points per game. Standing alone as the only iconic colorway throughout 2022 to return amongst a trove of collaborative propositions, seldom “Varsity Red” accents and contrasting jet-black embellishments coordinate with the tongue and ankle collar’s resized height for a tried-and-true homage to the silhouette’s OG configuration.
