The Nike Air Max 97 Expands The “Athletics Company” Collection

Every few months Nike debuts a new connective collection for their roster of lifestyle silhouettes to dress in. From this past Fall’s fictional Moving Co. series to the upcoming honorary Lunar New Year celebration, the Beaverton-based brand is now harkening a quartet of colors for its latest “Athletic Company” collection.

Having already set down on the Air Force 1 – albeit in a lightened scheme – a contrasting gloomy ensemble is drawn upon through the pair’s dominant “Pro Green” upper, accented in seldom fashion through a thin “Sail” strip along the midfoot while additionally outfitting the tongue’s base and laces. Returning to the latter’s forest green shade along the adjacently placed pull tabs and leather tongue overlay, a striking yellow tongue tab proffers an emboldened upper in tandem with its titular “Picante Red” Swooshes and vertical “air max” branding along the heel.

Coordinating its “Sail” midsole construct with a jet-black pairing underfoot, enjoy official images of the Air Max 97 “Athletics Company” below while we sit tight on further release details.

In other news, New Balance’s Lunar New Year Collection is set to release this Friday, December 30th.
