Jared Ebanks As one of the most widely-anticipated collaborations of the past few months, the Jarritos x Nike SB Dunk Low is set to cement the revitalized silhouette’s dominance throughout 2023 by way of its continued collaborative efforts with obscure yet effective partners. Having received our first official look at the upcoming pair late last month, one specific and customizable embellishment had been left unknown until now, the inclusion of tear-away uppers.
Coated in crisp white leathers filling its vamp, midfoot panel and heel, a tan burlap canvas envelops the stitched-on overlays while its green-tinted midfoot Swoosh deviates from its tonal surroundings. Placing a precision knife in the box, the tool can be used to rip away the latter textile to reveal vibrant orange suede underlays pouring out from the Mexican brand’s jug insignia affixed to the heel. Branded Jarritos-inspired Nike SB logos render an appearance atop the tongue and heel tabs, coordinating a lasting color match to the iconic Mandarin sodas orange, white and green combination at the lace aglets and sectioned tread underfoot.
