Although the Air Jordan 6‘s heyday might be in the past, the silhouette continues to form an important part of Michael Jordan’s sneaker legacy. Recently, Tinker Hatfield’s fourth design for #23 emerged in a “Cool Grey” ensemble.
Clad in “White” and “Medium Grey” as well, the upcoming take on the sixth Air Jordan silhouette takes on a color-blocking reminiscent of the original “Carmine” offering. A “colorless” smooth leather covers most of the upper, allowing for suede panels throughout the forefoot and mid-foot to deviate in a contrasting grey hue. Components on the tongue follow suit, as do the race car-inspired details around the collar. Branding on the spine forgoes “NIKE AIR” text from the sneaker’s debut in 1991 in favor of newer Jumpman logos. Accents throughout the midsole take on a dark grey finish, sitting right above icy blue traction zones.
An official release date of April 19th, 2022 has been confirmed, with the shoes launching on Nike SNKRS and partnering retailers. While you wait, enjoy official images of the shoes ahead.
