Both Nike and Jordan Brand are constantly repurposing old ideas for new releases. This Air Jordan 1 Mid is further proof of that, as it incorporates not only a familiar Swoosh but also a canvas construction not completely unlike that of the AJKO.
The color blocking, too, is somewhat reminiscent of past releases — though rather than echo the same heritage tones, the pair applies a light purple to both its heel counter and ankle flaps. Neutrals, then, make up the rest of the palette: light creams mark the unders, tongue, and midsole, while black dyes many of the overlays as well as the Wings emblem adjacent. Moreover, the darker of the two shades also dresses the Swoosh, whose embroidered style is pulled directly from a few of Stussy’s collaborative works.
