Ever since dressing the Air Jordan 1 back in 2021, “University Blue” has had a chokehold on much of sneaker culture. And as we head into 2023, the colorway’s grip is only expected to tighten, as we’re to see not just a sequel to the aforementioned but also an Air Jordan 2 Low clad in the UNC signature.
Leaked earlier this morning, the Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC” further celebrates MJ’s alma mater. As the mock-up suggests, “University Blue” plays a subtle, supporting role here, applied to accents such as the heel piece, lining, and branding. The rest of the construction indulges fully in neutrals, with grey-dominant outsoles situated underneath a white-colored midsole and upper. In fact, Michael Jordan himself wore a PE of the model during a UNC alumni game in 1987.
For a look at what to expect from the Air Jordan 2 Low “UNC,” see below. These are currently slated to release on July 22nd, 2023.
In other news, the Air Jordan 4 Red Cement is also landing in 2023.
