Jared Ebanks Nike and UNDEFEATED are more than well-likened to one another, having proffered a multitude of timeless collaborations across the Beaverton-based brands iconic lifestyle silhouettes. Following their “5 On It” joint effort seen on the Air Force 1 last summer, the 40th anniversary silhouette is being tapped once again to aid in the Los Angeles-based cohort’s own 20th anniversary.
Coated in shiny patent leather, no two panels of the collaborative AF1 are alike with the forefoot employing a “Smoke Grey” shade while its heel counter enjoys a clad “Teal Green” outfit. Centering the “Topaz Gold” Swoosh amidst the aforementioned panel and its midfoots “Cyan Blue” build, a titular yellow accents the quarter overlay whereas the tongue bears a cornflower blue hue . Providing necessary neutral tones amidst the multi-color ensemble, the vamp, laces and sole unit underfoot come anchored by a disparate “Bone White” before its sock liner and debossed heel tab comes clothed in a jet-black tone.
Identifying the Los Angeles brand, orange and yellow tongue tabs establish the five-strike logo in tandem with its gold branded dubrae and all-over printed insoles.
Centered around the fostering of community, the two global institutions have partnered with Compton Community Garden and Feed The Streets LA to support the areas local homeless population through weekly donations and job interview prep while hosting a volunteer gardening session at the Community Garden’s-held workshops.
