It’s Air Force 1 overload with just two months remaining for The Swoosh to celebrate their 40th anniversary silhouette. Retooling its “Color of the Month” propositions alongside the upcoming collaborative collection with AMBUSH, Bruce Kilgore’s 1982 design is continuing to extend its inclusion of vintage aesthetics.
Save its branded tabs and Swoosh, the entirety of the upper renders a clad crisp white treatment across its smooth leather overlays, mesh tongue, laces and fuzzy sock liner, setting the stage with a beaming base layer. Utilizing the opposite of the tonal spectrum, jet-black contrasts lay claim to the canvas tongue and suede back tabs whereas its midfoot Swooshes proffer a pre-worn suede coated in a forest green hue. Underfoot, an aged vanilla-shaded midsole harkens additional 80s vibes throughout the updated construction while a speckled light grey tread concludes the silhouette’s design elements.
While we sit tight on the pair’s release date, enjoy official images of the Air Force 1 “Malachite” below in the meantime.
