An Orange Air Jordan 1 Mid “Wear-Away” Appears With Tie Dye Inner-Lining

An Orange Air Jordan 1 Mid “Wear-Away” Appears With Tie Dye Inner-Lining

The Air Jordan 1 Mid has historically been the most experimental trim of Michael Jordan’s first signature sneaker, and a recently-surfaced “Wear-Away” style continues the trend.

Previously seen in “Infrared 23” and “Black” color-blocking, the pair has undergone an orange transformation while maintaining its cracked leather upper for a worn aesthetic. The design choice creates a quasi-rusted look, while the panels at the toe, mid-foot and collar areas opt for a pristine “White” makeup. Overlays throughout the Air Jordan 1‘s upper make a statement on their own, but the mismatched tie dye finish applied to the left and right shoes’ inner-lining also experiments with the late Peter Moore’s design from 1985. Underfoot, the oft-imitated sole unit opts for a slightly “aged” style as well, further playing into the “Neo-vintage” trend that’s grown in popularity since mid-2020.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, as you wait for official Nike.com release details.

In related sneaker news, the Nike Air Max line continues to celebrate its 35th anniversary.
