Despite claims from the being formerly known as “Kanye West” that the adidas adiFOM Q is a copy of one of his popular designs, the silhouette continues to expand its roster of colorways. The latest?: A stealthy “Core Black” and “Carbon” makeover.
Akin to a recently-seen “Footwear White/Grey One” style, the upcoming pair indulges in a uniform look across its EVA outer construction, with contrast arriving via the inner-bootie. A pitch-dark arrangement takes over the Yeezy Foam Runner-reminiscent upper and sole unit, although adidas’ proposition delivers a true “Core Black” experience and not a lighter “Onyx” one like Ye and team. The shoe’s sock-like insert, however, deviates in a “Carbon” tone that provides some contrast to the understated adiFOM Q, with trefoil logos and loops on the tongue differing from their surroundings. Together, each aforementioned component creates a versatile ensemble sure to draw attention from even the biggest skeptics, especially if the German sportswear behemoth can make its sneaker more accessible than Ye’s.
No firm adidas.com release details have been disclosed, but that’s likely to change before 2022 ends. In the meantime, enjoy product images of the pair ahead, courtesy of Up There Store.
