With official images of the overgrown aesthetic of the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Dunk Low “Grinch” dropping just the other day, the unpleasant nature of the character who stole Christmas is additionally being applied to the latest colorway of the Nike Blue Ribbon SB.
Announced this past Spring, the BRSB for short takes core pieces of its past heritage from the toothy frills of the Nike Cortez to the brand’s original name, Blue Ribbon Sports. The made-for-skate reconstructed silhouette flaunts a padded tongue and cupsole alongside a visible embedded cushioning system placed in the heel. A lime green shaggy suede dawns the forefoot and ribbed quarter overlay with a mini Swoosh while a slightly lighter hue takes hold of the synthetic construction and stitching of the latter half of the model for a titular offering. The established shade is continued in the exposed Air bag, inner lining and cracked leather back tab while the red tone of The Grinch’s Santa suit seldomly fills the side panels Swooshes.
