Back in 2020, New Balance celebrated the return of the 2002R with many a collaboration. And in October of that year, N.HOOLYWOOD and Invincible joined forces on a greyscale colorway, which is about to receive a sequel almost two years thereafter.
Alongside a change in palette, the pair has received a sizable upgrade to its utility, as the construction is now lined with GORE-TEX fabrics. Across the exterior, though, things are still structurally familiar, featuring hairy suedes, nubuck, and mesh throughout the upper. Many of these are highlighted in a dark navy finish, while grey details complement by way of the trims and laces. Branding, from the “GORE-TEX” and “2002R” embroideries to the descriptive tongue label, is dressed in black, rounding out the package alongside the co-branded sockliners.

In other news, the Tom Sachs Nike GPS Dark Sulfur is releasing first thing in September.
