Although the adidas Forum 84 Hi has brought the model’s original design to the modern-day via colorways and layout specifications, the sneaker hadn’t previously donned exposed foam construction that presented it as having been sitting in a vault for decades.
Recently, the adidas Originals proposition appeared in a “Cloud White,” “Magic Beige” and “Aluminum” colorway that offers a rather understated look. Lateral profile 3-Stripes opt for suede materials that work in-tandem with the high-quality leather that surrounds them to create a worthwhile offering in a sea of cheap footwear. Slightly-yellowed midsoles underfoot help out with the “aged” aesthetic, but are arguably overshadowed by the exposed foam material on the tongue’s backside and inner-lining. The design choice falls in line with some of adidas‘ competitors’ vintage-inspired sneakers, which have seen great success (i.e. Off-White x Nike’s “The Ten” from 2017).
Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and find the shoes arriving via adidas.com on Monday, August 15th, for $130 USD.
