Fully Reflective Uppers Appear On The Nike Air Max Plus

Fully Reflective Uppers Appear On The Nike Air Max Plus

At first glance, this Air Max Plus doesn’t look too far off from the original model. The exterior “lava” cage has been more streamlined as it’s been pressed into the upper mesh, while a familiar gradient color approach blends red and black into a Darth Maul look.

However, there’s something unique about this upcoming Tuned Air classic; the entirety of the upper mesh shell is coated with a reflective material, illuminating with high visibility when hit with camera flash. The flowing lava streaks and the Swoosh logo, which do not feature the reflective capability, contrast in the dark by creating a silhouette against the alternate upper.

Coming soon in black and red, this Air Max Plus “Reflective” is set to release on Nike.com and should arrive in other colorways.
