There’s an age-old theory that posits that rappers want to be hoopers and hoopers want to be rappers. Recently, Kevin Durant has flirted with this concept by prepping his Nike KD 15 in aa Boi 1da-inspired style.
Despite not being behind the mic, the Jamaican-Canadian has been behind some of the most exciting Hip-Hop and R&B records of the last decade. “Sniper Jones,” Durant’s sparingly-used rapper moniker, hasn’t released anything he’s recorded with Boi 1da to the public (yet), but the upcoming sneakers may be part of an extensive rollout for a music collaboration between two top contenders in their respective fields. The super-producer’s tag is featured on the top of the right shoe’s tongue, while references to 86 BPM (Beats Per Minute) appear on the lateral heels and spine. A charcoal and light grey arrangement takes over most of the mesh and foam-constructed proposition, with eye-catching flair arriving via the profile swooshes, reinforcement around the toe, Zoom Air strobel and other components on the latest take of the 15th Nike KD.
