A Bold Gradient Animates The Nike Air Max Plus “Unity”

Despite not celebrating a milestone anniversary, the Nike Air Max Plus has emerged in handfuls of compelling outfits this year. Recently, the Sean McDowell design surfaced as part of the brand’s “Unity” collection.

Clad predominantly in “Black,” the upcoming release features a bold, multi-color gradient on the medial side, a detail that works in-tandem with the “UNITY”-branded tab nearby to evoke sentiments of camaraderie despite differences. Past Nike Sportswear offerings prepped for similar capsules indulged in bold green and orange, while the latest Tuned Air-cushioned silhouette opts for varying shades of blue for its most standout color arrangement. Air Max bubbles underfoot feature solid takes on the aforementioned hues, but the outsole is laden with compelling gradients that expand the design catalog of McDowell’s creation from 1998.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.
