For years now, adidas has slowly bled their way into the world of fashion, teaming up with the likes of Prada, Wales Bonner, and a number of up-and-coming label. Thanks to many of these efforts, the Three Stripes have caught the attention of Kering, the parent company to some of the most important luxury houses, who have introduced the footwear brand to not only Balenciaga but also Gucci.
Following a limited release last month, Alessandro Michele and adidas are teaming up once again to release even more pairs of their collaborative Gazelle. Alongside past-revealed efforts — such as the monogram-dressed colorway and the series of vibrant, 80s/90s inspired styles — the two are introducing a brand new option that sees the classic sneaker clad with platform soles. Here, the upper remains largely unchanged, featuring monogram-patterned fabrics and blue-colored leather accents, while the sole is heightened over four times. The various layers are highlighted in bright pastels, stacking upwards in blue, yellow, orange, and then white.
The Gucci x adidas Gazelle will be made available once again via adidas.com on July 28th. For a closer look the upcoming colorways, see below.
