Cultivated for the better part of the past few decades, the 99X Series is undoubtedly the heart of New Balance. And with the newly-launched “Made in USA” Collection, the brand is further celebrating these iconic offerings with a little help from lauded ALD founder Teddy Santis.
Here, Santis is once again highlighting the 990v2, doing so with a vibrant “Chrysanthemum” colorway. Said hue, best described as a bright red, dresses both the longhair and shorthair suedes that build out much of the upper. Underneath, the mesh inserts and neighboring trims opt for a much darker navy, matching that of the adjacent “N” logo and tongue. Finally, white and off-white round out the palette via the laces and midsole, respectively.
