Although we’re deep in the era of online raffles and draws, the reinvigorated art of shopping in-store can lead to finding some true gems sitting on store shelves. FUTUREVVORLD is aiming to revive that lost art while combining a bit of vintage flair with Mission: Deadstock, a curated exhibit featuring personal pairs of the world’s most obsessed collectors.
With pairs new and used, recent and decades old, Mission: Deadstock acts a sneaker museum constructed by true enthusiasts, with a focus on sustainability — the core of FUTUREVVORLD’s projects and concentration. Their inaugural exhibit includes personal pairs from well known collectors such as Jacques Slade (@kustoo), Andrew Incogs (@sneakerpreservationsociety), Daniela Buck (@wideawakearthquake), and more, so there will be no shortage of deadstock gems in this limited-showing exhibit.
At the end of the exhibit, Mission: Deadstock will auction off every pair on display, with all proceeds generated going towards Remake (@remakeourworld), Fabscrap (@fab_scrap), and Housing Works (@housingworks). The auction will be announced on FUTUREVVORLD.com.
The exhibit is now open to the public at Extra Butter’s Lower East Side location in New York City. Future Mission: Deadstock events are planned at different cities. If you’re not in the area, check out the exhibit as well as some snaps of their friends-and-family launch party below.
