Jovani Hernandez As New Balance continues to debut styles, the brand hasn’t lost focus on some of its established propositions. Case in point?: Another refreshing update to the New Balance 990v3, courtesy of Teddy Santis.
While not dubbed as a collaboration with the Queens-native, the upcoming pair is yet another offering from the Aimé Leon Dore‘s work as creative director for NB’s Made In USA program. A departure from the predominantly off-white takes that’ve dominated Santis’ own brand’s footwear over the last three years, the newly-surfaced pair indulges in “Raw Amethyst” flair, which works in-tandem with an “NB Navy” mesh base and bold orange accents to create an ensemble differing from some of New Balance’s most popular styles. ENCAPE cushioning underfoot, however, boasts the same “aged” look that has made Santis’ New Balance 550 work so successful, blending “old” and “new.”
