Michael Le Stussy and Nike have teamed up for the better part of the past two decades, accumulating no small sum of collaborative offerings. And after helping the Swoosh with the Air Force 1’s 40th Anniversary, the beloved streetwear label is bringing their attention to two classic Converse silhouettes: the Chuck 70 and the One Star.
Arriving later this month, the capsule indulges in a bit of nostalgia, as it references the black hemp Chucks that originally made headway in the ’90s. Straying not very far from their respective models, both the Chuck 70 and One Star stick to a familiar black-on-white colorway. The construction itself, from the sole to the laces, are standard, too, albeit with the exception of the hemp-constructed upper and the Stussy-inspired branding along the tongue and lateral profile.
The Stussy x Converse collection is slated to release on June 10th exclusively on Stussy.com. A wider release is to follow on June 16th, hitting Nike SNKRS, Converse.com, and likely a select number of retailers.
