The Nike Air Force 1 Low Dresses Up In Patriotic Colors Ahead Of July 4th

Bruce Kilgore’s Nike Air Force 1 Low has done a lot since debuting in the 1980s (’83 to be exact). As the original design continues to celebrate its 40th anniversary, the low-top trim of the made-for-basketball silhouette has surfaced in a series of refreshing, compelling styles.

Recently, the New York City-staple emerged in a white, blue and red colorway. While yet to be touted as part of a specific collection, a recent Air More Uptempo has also dressed up in the July 4th-friendly ensemble. The majority of the upper, just as on the original Air Force 1, indulges in a clean “colorless” arrangement, while profile swooshes and other supporting accents deviate in bold flair (blue and red, in this case). As with the aforementioned Nike Basketball classic, the latest take on Kilgore’s creation features a non-standard basketball logo at the heel. Underfoot, sole units take on a slightly-yellowed finish that delivers a “vintage” aesthetic, harkening back to the sneaker’s debut era.

Enjoy official images of the pair ahead, and anticipate a Nike.com launch soon.
