Nike Celebrates 50 Year Anniversary With “Seen It All” Spot

NIKE, Inc. is synonymous with innovation, and has been since before it officially became known as “Nike” in 1972. Over the past 50 years, the Oregon-based company has pushed the boundaries within sport, enabling some of history’s best athletes to break personal and world bests. Recently, the company released the “Seen It All” spot as part of a campaign celebrating its 50th anniversary while looking 50 years ahead.

Directed by the one-and-only Spike Lee (who was instrumental to the Air Jordan line in the late 1980s), the two minutes and 30 seconds-long film depicts the Brooklyn-native and Zimmie (played by Indigo Hubbard-Salk) going back-and-forth on the athletes they’ve seen make a mark on “the game.” From Andre Agassi and Tiger Woods to Naomi Osaka and Ja Morant, over 40 legendary and contemporary Nike-sponsored athletes are shown in a highlight reel-style, with both Mars Blackmon and Zimmie championing the stars of their eras; the “O.G.” claims the game’s seen it all already, but the youngin’ states Blackmon (and the world at large) hasn’t seen “nothing yet.” One thing both parties agree on, however, is that LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Cristiano Ronaldo, Sabrina Ionescu and others have all benefitted in some way, shape or form from the shoes Nike has developed.
