The first signature shoe to release following MJ’s second retirement from the NBA, the Air Jordan 14 draws inspiration from the luxurious Ferrari 550 M supercar. And with its latest colorway, which recently walked down the tunnel alongside Jayson Tatum, the silhouette seemingly celebrates a completely different set of wheels.
Very likely tied to the Forward-Guard, the design ostensibly draws cues from Tatum’s custom Mustang. Similar to said car, the construction indulges near entirely in a blacked out aesthetic, with luxe suedes across the side and shiny patent leathers at the toe. Red hits, then, mark the Jumpman along the vamp as well as the tongue’s own branding, the latter of which touts “JORDAN” on one side and “DUECE” the other. Additionally, chrome accents run throughout the shoe: they dress not only the midsole and forefoot but also the modified emblems that sit across the profile and heel.
For a closer look at this Air Jordan 14, see the in-hand images below. As it’s probable that these are a PE, the chances of a retail release are very slim, so sit tight as we await further updates.
In other news, the Dunk Low World Champions was officially unveiled last night.
