Throughout the last 37 years, the Nike Dunk High has emerged in countless colorways, inspired by everything from cartoon characters to fruit. And while some non-sports-related makeovers have gone down in history, Peter Moore’s silhouette hasn’t forgotten about its basketball origins, frequently dressing up in team-friendly ensembles.
Recently, the iconic design appeared in a color combination of white, green and black, which resembles past offerings from the Swoosh inspired by the Boston Celtics. A kid’s-exclusive, the upcoming Nike Dunk opts for smooth leather across the entirety of its upper, with overlays around the forefoot, along the tongue and across the heel. Profile swooshes and laces deviate from their surroundings in a pitch-dark tone, keeping the sneaker from boasting a simple two-tone style. Sole units follow Moore’s decades-old specifications, but the outsole features light-colored speckling that suggests its partly-constructed from recycled materials.
Enjoy official images of the shoes ahead, as you anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch by summertime.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. umbrella, the Air Jordan 6 “UNC” finally releases soon.
