Many of the Jumpman’s more unique offerings have come from the Air Jordan 1 Mid. In the past month, the silhouette has typed the meaning of “BRED” onto its side and dressed its overlays in snakeskin, easily rivaling the variety of its high-top counterpart. And soon, the silhouette will also serve as a base for the brand’s nod to “Africa.”

Reminiscent of the “FEARLESS ONES” in its energy, the pair primarily celebrates the continent through texture. Elephant-reminiscent leathers stand out along the toe and counter, while pruned, heavily crinkled surfaces wrap the collar and forefoot. More standard panels of a smooth and tumbled quality, then, dress underneath, blending into the rest of the floral palette with their respective light and dark purples. Branding is then highlighted in white, with the Swoosh proffering a cracked, dried out finish. And finally, the continent itself is printed right onto the heel opposite yet another instance of the Jumpman logo.
