When the runner craze died all those years ago, brands like New Balance and ASICS were hit the hardest. But in recent years, it’s starting to feel like the tides may soon shift in their favor, as NB is already extremely popular among current sneakerheads. Hopefully, the Japanese footwear brand will follow suit; and if they do, the GEL-LYTE III is likely to lead the charge.
Here, the split-tongue icon dons blue and yellow pastels, making it a perfect addition to this season’s wardrobe. The cool tones are applied across the mesh collar, suede overlays, and instep, while its warmer counterpart dresses adjacent, often not far away. White and black neutrals, then, round out the construction, with the darker of the two stepping forward first across the toe, heel, and Tiger logo.
