Despite the recent strides its made in the performance-running space, Saucony continues to satisfy savvy and casual consumers’ hunger for lifestyle-oriented footwear. For its latest offerings, the New England-based institution has reimagined three classic silhouettes – Shadow 6000, Jazz Court, Jazz 81 – with vegetable tanned leather.
With a 124-year-old history, Saucony continues to deliver product following the exact specifications that’ve made countless consumers from all over the world fall in love, but it has also demonstrated that it isn’t satisfied with only resting on its laurels. As the Cambridge, Massachusetts-founded company develops ways to minimize its production of waste materials, it’s landed on a handful of different approaches. Vegetable tanned leather, then, creates a natural and eco-friendly proposition, while also promising unique versions of the aforementioned Saucony Originals, as each style will age differently given its exposure to sunlight, moisture and other elements. Cushioning solutions across the “Veg Tan Pack” trio maintain their tried-and-proven build, ensuring die-hard fans of the models will be able to enjoy a familiar ride from the limited-edition sneakers.
