Nike Introduces The Kids’ “Fruit Basket” Collection With An Air Force 1 Low

NIKE, Inc. hasn’t disclosed the full extent of its plans for the Nike Air Force 1‘s 40th anniversary, but it’s previewed a handful of expansive collections and high-profile collaborations. For the latest tally in the former category, the North American institution has dipped the model’s low-top variant in a “Fruit Basket” ensemble exclusive to kids.

While other Nike Sportswear silhouettes are likely to follow, the newly-surfaced offering follows a new off-white, green, gold and orange color arrangement across its synthetic leather upper. At first glance, the Air Force 1 Low seems in-line with the brand’s famous “Roswell Rayguns” theme, but closer inspection at the embroidered figure at the lateral heel reveals an entirely different concept: an anthropomorphic basket carries several fruits that lend their hues to the latest take on Bruce Kilgore’s decades-old design. Underfoot, sole units also join in on the colorful fun, as midsoles opt for a speckled makeover and tread indulges in a fan-favorite semi-translucent light gum brown finish.

Enjoy official images of the kid’s pair here below, and expect a Nike.com launch once spring gets underway.
