Nike is constantly thinking about how to present their classics in interesting ways, often tweaking their designs past all recognizability. The Dunk Low, for instance, saw drastic changes with its Disrupt make-up, whose time in the spotlight is soon to be taken by a surprising sequel. And though it may be related to the aforementioned in name, the silhouette goes far beyond what the 1st version attempted.
That’s not to say it bears no resemblance to the original, though. The pair’s sole, in contrast to its predecessor, retains the sleek look, its back heel only partially covered with a layer of armor. A material similar to the latter also dresses the toe, its piece a functional extension of the eyelets above. As for the eye stays and the rest of the paneling, their suedes are more robust yet unrefined, with seemingly warped edges and haphazard placement that complements the dual Swooshes at the side and the scattered embroidery across the tongue.

In other news, the Air Jordan 5 Low Arctic Pink has just surfaced via official images.
