Over the course of the past few years, adidas has fostered the growth of their skateboarding line, enlisting the help of current pro skaters and long-time legends alike. And with their newest silhouette, the ADI2000, the brand is taking design cues from the early 2000’s most beloved models.
A bulky offering much like Etnies and DC kicks past, the ADI2000 incorporates suede and mesh through its construction. The latter lays the base, while the former reinforces the shoe across the eye stays, toe, and collar, each stacked with two to three layers. Below, the tooling offer a similar heft that perfectly complements the Y2K era look of the upper.
As of right now, a release date is still TBD. So if you’re looking to test out a pair, you’ll have to sit tight.
