On-Foot Look At The Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master”

On-Foot Look At The Air Jordan 4 “Zen Master”

Since its inception, Jordan Brand has celebrated MJ with many a release, nodding even to his passions outside of basketball. But in recent years, references to important figures in the athlete’s life have started to surface, most by way of the Series .01. This Air Jordan 4 does something a bit different, though, as it dons a “Zen Master” theme in honor of the previous Chicago Bulls coach Phil Jackson.

Revealed amongst the Spring 2022 line-up, the shoe colorfully honors Jackson’s methods, which often included meditation and other spiritual traditions. In emulation, the upper errs towards a galaxy-like print, with purple and pink dyed into the material at random. The netting, laces, and branded patches adjacent, however, are far flatter tonally, opting instead for a black finish with a few red logo hits. Below, the tooling is similarly standard, while the heel tab and support wings deviate in their see-through finish.

For one of the best looks yet at the “Zen Master,” see below. A release is currently scheduled for March 22nd.
