Although the Nike Air Force 1 Mid debuted years after its high-top counterpart, it’s being included in the 40th anniversary of arguably the most iconic sneaker design of all-time. Already boasting at least two collaborations with Stussy, the oft-ridiculed mid-trim is also set to arrive in an arrangement inspired by Paris.
At a quick glance, the pair’s “Pollen/Blue Void/Cashmere/Green Noise” colorway seems like a seasonal decision, but closer inspection reveals otherwise. In addition to the high-quality materials typically reserved for special releases, the Air Force 1-variant features a “75” embroidered onto the lateral quarter-panel. The street sign-shaped lace dubrae deciphers the two-digit number, which references the beginning of the French capital’s postal codes (e.g. 75000). Another nod to the city’s street signs appears printed on the sock-liner, indulging in the “Blue Void/Green Noise” color combination that animates various components of the smartly-outfitted Air Force 1 Mid.
An official Nike SNKRS release date hasn’t been disclosed by the brand, but that’s likely to change as 2022 gets underway. In the meantime, enjoy images of the pair here below.
