Sneaker News No longer entirely-neglected by savvy sneaker collectors, the Air Jordan 1 Mid has built a sizable catalog in the last two years alone. Before 2021 closes, the lifestyle-focused trim has appeared in a mix of white, beige and red prepped exclusively for kids.
Akin to some of the original Air Jordan 1‘s most iconic styles, the newly-surfaced retro indulges in a “colorless” synthetic leather base that allows for accompanying components to revel in the spotlight. A vachetta tan-reminiscent tone lands on overlays atop the forefoot, along the tongue and across the heel, though a patina process is unlikely. Stark ruby-colored flair joins the mix via not only the profile swooshes and supporting logos, but also the collar panels, laces and inner-lining. Underfoot, sole units forgo any eye-catching hue or arrangement in favor of a tried-and-proven “yin-and-yang”-appropriate duo.
