The Nike Blazer Mid has experienced handfuls of iterations since first launching in the 1970s. For its latest variation, the first Nike Basketball sneaker goes full-on fashionable thanks to the jumbo swooshes found at its profiles.
Unquestionably inspired by the Off-White collaboration introduced by the late Virgil Abloh in 2017, the silhouette indulges in a predominantly-“colorless” arrangement. Hairy suede reinforcement at the tip of the toe and lateral forefoot reprise their usual roles, although the latter’s inclusion takes on larger proportions. Similarly, the Nike Blazer’s iconic profile swooshes both dip onto the midsole and take up much of the sidewalls, introducing a rich green tone along the way. Pull tabs on the laces and “NIKE”-branding on the sock-like collar also help animate the sneaker, while sole units underfoot round out the bold design with serrated tread.
