Despite not showing for AW21 nor SS22, Craig Green continues to maintain a collaborative relationship with adidas, offering up his first sole unit by way of the upcoming SCUBA PHORMAR.
Seen on the runway during the designer’s Spring/Summer ’21 affair, the silhouette is a blend of new and old. Above, signature motifs like the use of cord and contrast stitching are present in spades, dressed up here in various pastels. But while many of these are loud in bright blue, pale pink, and the like, their backdrops are bit more subdued, opting for muted hits of olive, orange, and navy.
The form instead takes the focus, as the construction is designed to collapse at certain points. Most panels, though thin, feature a course exterior, whose shape is easily maintained thanks to the tension created by the aforementioned cords. And below, the tooling is far more visually interesting, its rubbers rife with ridges much like the toe cap adjacent.
Enjoy a close-up look at the three forthcoming colorways below. A release is currently slated to hit adidas.com and select retailers on December 9th.
In other news, there are a ton of adidas YEEZY December 2021 Releases to expect this month as well.
