New Balance has enjoyed unprecedented time in the spotlight over the last three years, thanks in part to thoughtful, high-quality collaborations. The North American institution’s work with BANDIER, an activewear brand founded by Jennifer Bandier, perfectly exemplifies this, and is set to launch another collection on December 1st.
Featuring a New Balance 327 and handful of apparel items, the upcoming capsule is the partnership’s second project to date. Titled “Her Advantage,” the collection’s campaign stars Genie Bouchard, who’s currently part of New Balance’s tennis roster. Through both product and Bouchard, the second-time collaborators aim to promote women empowerment, as well as highlight the transformative qualities of fitness and fashion. Performance-informed fleece crewnecks, long-sleeve bodysuits and track pants make up most of the collaboration’s apparel, while a 1970s-inspired leisure sneaker serves as its lone footwear option. Reminiscent of Casablanca’s first 327, the pair indulges in premium perforated leather across its base, and mustard-colored pig suede overlays. “N” logos in the same tone appear on the lateral side, while a fan-favorite light gum brown finish lands on the trail shoe-inspired tread underfoot.
