Nike’s Sprung Collection Sprouts An Air Max 95

Ever since Nike coined the phrase “Move to Zero,” they’ve made large strides in decreasing their carbon footprint. And today, sustainability remains a big part of every new initiative and release, including the “Air Sprung” collection. Replete with many a different interpretation, the pack and its Spring-appropriate elements are soon to expand with this upcoming Air Max 95.

Playful in its many graphic motifs, the pair embroiders both a butterfly and a caterpillar atop the tongue’s “Air Sprung” patch. While both are dressed with subtle miniature Swooshes, only the insect matches the bright blue and purple that are echoed throughout the shoe. Adjacent, the paneling — which is partially composed of recycled materials — opts for varying degrees of cream, all of which are used in the design of the anthropomorphic mushrooms that grow along the outsole.
