A year removed from its 35th anniversary, the Nike Dunk Low is still more relevant than it’s ever been. For its latest proposition, Peter Moore’s performance-basketball-focused design has commemorated the winter solstice.
Although solstices occur every calendar year, one of 2021’s will take place on December 21st. As such, the newly-surfaced pair records the coincidental date on the right shoe’s tongue label: “21.12.21” (stylized how non-US calendars are set). To celebrate the “shortest day of the year,” the Swoosh has covered the low-top Nike Dunk in “Team Orange” and “Crimson Bliss” flair. Furthermore, sun rays are placed throughout the suede and leather upper, with lateral heel panels boasting a sun motif as well. Underfoot, sole units also indulge in some of the aforementioned tones, rounding out the summer-inspired makeup.
Enjoy official images of the celebratory style here below, and anticipate a Nike SNKRS launch around the late December date printed on the right shoe’s tongue.
Elsewhere under the NIKE, Inc. banner, an Air Jordan 13 “Del Sol” is expected January 2022.
