When it comes to crafting the new colorways, Nike finds itself digging through its archives at times. This continues to hold so as the Swoosh brings colors similar to that found on an iconic 2006 Nike Air Max 1 onto another Max Air model—the Nike Air Max 95.
The source of inspiration for this new AM 95 is no other than the Air Max 1 “BRS” from the famed Powerwall collection. This new release, which is constructed of recycled materials, starts with a cream mesh base where the layered leather overlays are also in similar shades for a subtle gradient look. Brown leather reminiscent of the AM1 color the sockliner as well as leather elements that run down the tongue and wrap around the model. Furthermore, the lace loops introduce a dusty pink that also makes its way onto branding on the tongue and sides. Touches of green on the aforementioned branded elements and the insole round out the “Move To Zero” proposition for a blast-from-the-past look.
