New Balance’s XC-72 Arrives In “Storm Blue” On September 18th

New Balance’s XC-72 Arrives In “Storm Blue” On September 18th

First introduced as part of a collaboration between New Balance and Casablanca, the New Balance XC-72 is a refreshing take on a ’70s design that manages to feel both futuristic yet vintage. Colorways for the inline XC-72 are gradually appearing, with the next offering to feature a vibrant “Storm Blue” and “Sea Salt” pairing—almost completely deviating from the greyscale New Balance XC-72 revealed recently.

The pair flaunts light blue crinkled nylon uppers that are complemented by suede overlays on the toe in a similar shade. Off-white tones applied to the oversized “N” logos, heel piece, and the foam midsole create an aged look that evokes a retro aesthetic. Unexpectedly, the tongue indulges in a bright yellow coloring that extends onto the toe as a vertical suede strip. Beyond the toe, a yellow stripe splits the outsole between two different traction patterns and colors to round out this contemporary twist on an old-school style.

Enjoy official images of the XC-72 below, which will launch on September 18th at newbalance.com with a price of $120.

In other NB news, the J.Crew is delivering a slew of exclusive New Balance 2002R colorways.
