Michael Le Nike’s well of love for NYC has yet to — and likely will never — run dry. And today, their series of homages only grows further, stemming from those previous with two jewel-adorned Air Force 1 Mids.
Unlike the colorway revealed earlier, this pair is not quite the avid Yankees fan. Instead, the palette seems to draw more from the city, its grey leathers an ostensible mimicry of the streets, skyscrapers, and the like. The midsoles, laces, and “NYC” branding, then, contrast in a bright white, appearing far cleaner than the boroughs it draws inspiration from. Finally, in place of an overlaid check, the side is set with a polished, slightly see-through jewel Swoosh.
