After a very brief departure to Anaheim, Japan’s NEIGHBORHOOD is back in adidas’ corner. This weekend, the two will bring back the basics, offering two muted iterations of the Superstar 80s.
A silhouette near and dear to the two’s partnership, the Superstar 80s has appeared several times in the past few years. But here, the design and construction is far more akin to what they previously dubbed the “Shelltoe,” clad in a velvety suede quite similar. The black colorway, specifically, leans uncannily close despite opting for white contrast stitching over the tonal beading. What’s more, the pair is fastened by a lace-in zipper and is instead accompanied by an tonal olive alternate.

In other news, the Air Jordan 4 Lightning is also landing the same day.
