atmos Helps Celebrate Years Of Sneaker History With The Nike CO.JP Archives

Japan has long been known as the “sneaker mecca,” its borders home to boutiques of indescribable influence and exclusive releases now near mythical. And to help celebrate the country’s part in the culture as a whole as well the many standouts that dropped under the CO.JP umbrella, atmos has helped raise the Nike CO.JP Archives. The installation houses over 20 years of sneakers both obscure and commonly talked about, the rarest situated within the safety of a glass showcase. And the storefront itself — shoes aside — is a spectacle in its own right, made to resemble the iconic orange box from the Swoosh’s early 2000s era.

Enjoy detailed imagery of the space below courtesy of Hirofumi Kojima. It can view in person at 150-0001 3-16-9 Sendagaya, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo from August 19th to August 25th between 11am and 7pm.
