Sean Wotherspoon And Disney’s Jiminy Crickett Dream Up An adidas Superturf Adventure

Disney‘s pool of iconic characters is vast, almost the largest of any name in the industry. And as they link up with the equally notable sneakers of adidas, the institution has no shortage of inspirations to pull from. Here, the two are taking us all the way back to the mid 1900s, celebrating the film Pinocchio alongside Three Stripes collaborator Sean Wotherspoon.

What ensues is nothing less than a 50/50 partnership. Wotherspoon’s love of corduroy and bright, retro-akin hues inform much of the upper. The base, with its wide wale cord, is made a dark purple, while matching materials bear orange along the removable compartment. Elsewhere, the warm tone is further echoed by the mesh lining, synthetic toe, and side trim, the latter additionally covered with black and red speckles. Tan pieces, green taping, and blue eye stays, then, round out the rest of the construction, further matching the palette of Jiminy Crickett who sits right behind the tongue zipper.
