Though long past, no colorway in Nike’s archive is ever really forgotten. Such is the case for the “Escape” theme, which saw a recent revival via the Air Huarache. Today, it lives on by way of numerous homages, the latest cast atop this upcoming Air Force 1 GTX.
While it may lack any overt reference to the aforementioned, the pair does adopt a palette spiritually similar. Light tans wash over the mesh toe, encased by hits of olive leather all around. Elsewhere, white balances out said earth tones at the midsole and mid-panel, the former dressed with speckling à la ACG. These embellishments play sibling to the Swoosh, counter, and laces above, whose branding adjacent shines in a bright red thread.
